EAST COAST SUNSHINE SANCTUARY
We believe in a humanitarian approach to recovery, empowering individuals through mutual aid, trauma-informed healing, and accessible education to achieve long-term stability.
Community outreach has always been a deeply personal calling. For years, I used my own skills and resources to uplift those around me, but true healing requires more than just one person's effort.
In 2022, I began building a trauma-informed structure to address a profound need. At the time, I lacked the resources and capacity to scale it, carrying the heavy weight of the work entirely alone.
Now, armed with refined skills and surrounded by a stronger community, this vision is evolving. Instead of holding this model close, the intention is to share it—empowering others to implement these life-saving structures in ways that fit their own capacity and reach.

“We are moving from carrying it alone to building a structure anyone can share.”
A hybrid roadmap connecting healing, skill-building, and long-term stability to address the root causes of housing insecurity.
The 'I Can' program is a twelve-step trauma recovery journey rooted in harm reduction and empowerment. Designed by a trauma-informed professional, it provides a safe, non-judgmental, and shame-free space for personal growth, healing, and overcoming obsessive behaviors—without triggering religious trauma or centering shared suffering.
I can change the way I look at my identity and allow my behaviors to follow suit. Setting affirmative goals such as "I am sober," "I am kind," "I am safe."
I can follow through. What do I want my life to look like? What steps can I take to reach the life I desire? What do I hope to gain from this experience?
I can prioritize. Which people and/or projects have been neglected while I was distracted? How can I make more time and space for things that are important to me?
I can recognize my emotions. What triggers my compulsive behavior? What emotions or situations do I struggle to cope with?
I can enjoy my creativity. Who or what makes me feel inspired? Why, and how do they inspire me to do my best? Who might my recovery inspire?
I can take responsibility. I notice how my presence influences those around me, from strangers to close companions. How can I create a more ethical life?
I can study. What special interests can I pursue knowledge of? How can I stimulate my mind?
I can feel safe. What does it take to cultivate peace in my life? Where or when do I feel unsafe? Where or when do I feel most secure?
I can feel included with others. What can be gained from peer support? How can I feel less alone? How can I work on communicating effectively with others?
I can invest. What can I do to invest in myself? What can I do to build stability? What are my long-term goals?
I can get better. How can I take manageable steps toward improving my life?
I can survive. What will it take for me to feel independent in my life? How can I feel empowered by my story and experience?

I redistribute PR and sponsored products, with the opportunity to learn user-generated content (UGC) marketing. I also collected donations for enthusiastic hobbyists with the initiative to expand. I offered both 1 on 1 coaching and accessible public workshops to share online marketing techniques. By mastering social media, participants understand how to monetize their accounts and build sustainable, location-independent income streams.
Additionally, views & commissions on the monetized Sunshine Seer social media accounts directly fund grassroots outreach, to support startup entrepreneurs in financial hardship in the pursuit of their dreams.
Direct mutual aid starts at home.
My free food pantry operated right in the front yard, launched as a statement that everyone deserves to eat, when SNAP funding was a hot topic, ensuring that neighbors had barrier-free access to essential nourishment whenever they need it: no questions asked. I also collaborate with other food distributors to make sure that nutrition is accessible.
I've collected donations of furniture, clothing, household products, and other goods as a central hub of redistribution, filling unmet needs in my community. This proves that no matter who you are, you can make an impact at any scale.

Access shouldn’t determine opportunity.
We create spaces where individuals navigating hardship can learn, create, and build income through hands-on skill development and entrepreneurship. Equipped with tools, resources, and support, these environments are designed to turn creativity into stability. For those shut out of traditional pathways, creation becomes both healing and survival.
These spaces also serve as wellness environments, offering grounding, regulation, and connection within a supportive community.
The goal is simple: accessible spaces where people can rebuild, create, and sustain themselves.
Our mutual-aid structure is designed to be replicated. What starts as a single community effort organically scales into a wider network of empowered leaders, adapting to the capacity of each new community.
To truly heal communities, we must rethink how we sustain our care. By moving away from the scarcity of traditional non-profit models, we remove the institutional bottlenecks that limit impact.
Competes for scarce institutional grant funding
Centers shared suffering to prove organizational need
Top-down approach limits reach and creates bottlenecks
