Consulting Services: Expert Navigation for Complex Systems

When your child approaches adulthood or already receives adult disability services, the systems become exponentially more complex. Coordinating between schools, APD, Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicaid waivers, SSI, and multiple providers feels like learning an entirely new language—because it is. Consulting services provide expert guidance to help you navigate the special education system, HCBS waiver services, and access the supports available to you and your child. I don't just stand beside you in meetings—I help you understand the entire landscape, make strategic decisions, coordinate across systems, and build a plan that actually works for your family's real life. Whether you're starting transition planning at 16 or navigating adult services for your 30-year-old, you need someone who knows Florida's systems inside and out. That's what I offer.

What Parents Are Saying

The transformation you're seeking already lives within you—coaching simply creates the conditions for it to emerge. Parents who engage in this work often discover strengths they didn't know they had and clarity they didn't think was possible. Here's what some of them have shared about their experience:

"I came to Rachel at C3-Parent Collective feeling like I was constantly reacting instead of leading as a parent. My kids were struggling with behavior at home, and I didn't know how to set boundaries that actually stuck. Through coaching, I learned strategies that work—not just generic advice, but practical tools I could use immediately. She helped me understand my kids' development, communicate more effectively, and build routines that reduced daily chaos. I wish I'd found her years ago."

Sarah M

Parent of two elementary aged children

"I was facing a major disagreement with my daughter's school about services, and I felt completely overwhelmed. Having Rachel at C3-Parent Collective walk into that meeting with me changed everything. She knew exactly what questions to ask, what was missing from the IEP, and how to advocate strategically. Within two weeks, my daughter had the supports she needed. I couldn't have done it without her standing alongside me."

Jennifer K

Parent of a 2nd grader with dyslexia

"Navigating transition planning for my 17-year-old felt impossible—APD, VR, Medicaid waivers, SSI—I didn't even know where to start. Rachel at C3-Parent Collective created a clear roadmap for our family, explained every system in plain language, and helped us coordinate services that actually work together. She didn't just give advice; she gave us a strategic plan based on real knowledge of Florida's systems. We finally have clarity about my son's future."

Parent of a high school senior with intellectual disability

"The Resource Library has been a game-changer. Instead of Googling and guessing, I have templates, worksheets, and guides created by someone who actually works in these systems. I used the IEP preparation worksheet before our annual meeting and felt so prepared. The email templates saved me hours of trying to word requests professionally. It's like having an expert in my back pocket whenever I need it."

Why Choose Us

Frequently Asked Questions

We provide more than just services—we create a partnership where parents feel empowered, supported, and equipped to advocate for their children. Our coaching, advocacy, and consulting programs balance compassion, expertise, and practical action, giving every family the tools to navigate challenges with confidence and clarity.

1. What's the difference between coaching, advocacy, and consulting?

Great question! Each service supports you differently:

Coaching empowers you to discover your own answers. Whether you're navigating life transitions or seeking clarity as a parent, coaching helps you tap into your inner wisdom, set meaningful goals, and create sustainable action plans.

Advocacy means I partner with you to navigate systems like IEPs, 504 plans, and HCBS waivers here in Florida. I help you understand your child's rights, prepare for meetings, and ensure your voice is heard in educational and service planning.

Consulting provides expert guidance on specific challenges you're facing. Whether it's understanding Florida's waiver services, developing behavior support strategies, or improving communication with your child's team, consulting offers direct recommendations based on my experience in special education and HCBS coordination.

2. How do I know which service is right for me?

You might not know yet - and that's perfectly okay! During our initial conversation, we'll explore what you're experiencing and what you're hoping to achieve. Together, we'll identify which approach will best serve you and your family right now. Many families find that different services meet different needs at different times, and we can adjust as your situation evolves.

3. What can I expect from membership and courses?

The membership creates a supportive community where you can access resources, connect with other parents facing similar challenges, and continue learning between our sessions. Courses provide structured learning on specific topics relevant to Florida families - things like understanding your rights in special education, navigating the HCBS waiver system, or building resilience as a special needs parent. Both are designed to complement your individual work and give you ongoing support.

4. Do you work with families in my area?

Yes! I work with families nationwide through virtual coaching and consulting sessions. While I have deep expertise in Florida's educational systems and HCBS waiver services, I serve clients wherever they're located. For families outside Florida, I can still provide powerful coaching support and help you navigate advocacy and system challenges, connecting you with relevant resources in your state when needed.

5. I'm overwhelmed and don't know where to start. Can you still help me.

Absolutely - and you're not alone in feeling this way. Many parents I work with start from a place of overwhelm. That's actually what makes coaching and advocacy so valuable. We'll start exactly where you are, break things down into manageable pieces, and create clarity together. The first step is simply reaching out, and you've already done that by reading this. Everything else, we'll figure out one step at a time.

6. What kinds of resources do you provide?

Resources are tools that support your journey - things like templates for IEP preparation, guides to Florida's HCBS waiver programs, worksheets for goal-setting, recommended readings, and connections to other Florida-specific services and supports. The resources you receive will be tailored to your specific needs and what we're working on together.

7. How do I get started?

I invite you to reach out for an initial conversation. This is a no-pressure opportunity for us to connect, for you to share what you're experiencing, and for us to explore whether working together feels like the right fit. You can schedule this conversation through my website, email me directly, or give me a call. I look forward to hearing from you and learning how I can best support your family.

8. Still have questions?

That's wonderful - it means you're thoughtfully considering what's right for your family. Please don't hesitate to reach out. Every journey begins with a single question, and I'm here to help you find the answers that matter most to you.
